Michael T. Brennan, DDS,MHS

Dr. Brennan attended the University of Iowa for undergraduate and dental training. Dr. Brennan completed a General Practice Residency at Loyola University Hospital outside of Chicago. Following his residency, he received four years of additional training at the National Institutes of Health (N.I.H.) in Bethesda, Maryland. He received a Certificate in Oral Medicine from N.I.H. and a Master's in Clinical Research from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. After the completion of his Masters degree, Dr. Brennan joined the Department of Oral Medicine at the Carolinas Medical Center in June 2000, and is currently Professor and Oral Medicine Residency Director with the Department of Oral Medicine. He also serves as the Director of the Sjögren’s Syndrome and Salivary Disorders Center at Carolinas Medical Center. He has over 100 peer reviewed articles and book chapters and is currently the immediate Past President of the International Society of Oral Oncology.
