Michelle L Baxter, MSN, APRN, AGNP-C, AFAAOMMichelle Baxter, MSN, APRN, AGNP-C, AFAAOM is an Assistant Professor at The University of Louisville School of Dentistry and the School of Nursing in Louisville, KY. She also serves at the Methadone Outpatient Rehabilitation and Education Clinic, UofL Care Partners, and the Kentucky Racing Health Services Center. Ms. Baxter holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Nursing, both from the University of Louisville, and certification as an Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is currently enrolled in a Doctorate of Nursing Practice Program at UofL. She completed the Duke University Nurse Leadership Fellowship Program in 2018 and is an Academic Affiliate Fellow with the American Academy of Oral Medicine where she also serves as co-chair on the Academic Affiliate Fellowship Program Committee. Ms. Baxter’s professional interests are in the areas of Oral Medicine and the relationship between oral health and whole-body health with a focus on underserved populations and patient-centered care.
