Integrative Medicine: How to Complement your Patients' Care?

Integrative medicine has evolved into one of the most utilized methods to complement conventional medicine approaches. This talk will discuss the integration of this approach in oral medicine practice to combat cases of refractory orofacial pain, xerostomia, trismus, and other complications of head and neck cancer therapy. 

After this lecture, attendees should be able to:

  1. Display the contemporary evidence-based literature in the preventive and therapeutic effects of alternative medicine modalities in patients with head and neck disorders/complications.
  2. Explore the practical implications of alternative medicine techniques in the practice of oral medicine.
  3. Discuss the obstacles to utilizing non-conventional medicine in dental/oral medicine clinic and identify methods of streaming down the process of its utilization.
